Mr & Mrs Stephen Arbroath
Stephen and Gillian moved to Feltbury Green recently, buying Grayshot on the outskirts of the village. They are seen as the "glamorous" couple by the older locals, with their high profile jobs and careers
With Stephen working in London, Gillian was getting a little restless and bored. Imagine her delight when she discovered her old friend Vivienne Ellington lived literally just over the river! They immediately reconnected and decided to start up a couture dress boutique to bring some fashion to both Feltbury Green and Feltbury. With ever increasing numbers moving out of London to live in the country, they think their boutique will do well, providing the lastest cocktail and evening dresses to this new set. The locals however remain a little sceptical
Stephen is working hard on building his publishing business in London. He has recently signed a number of new authors and hopes their books will be successful and become best sellers. With the Hon Nancy Feltbury living close by, he is desperate to sign her to his publishing house. He is also keen to start a family as soon as possible
The Goodfellow Family
What a chaotic household!
Daphne tries to bring some semblance of order to the daily proceedings but is in a constant battle to succeed. Her husband Jonathan is not the most organised individual. His mind is wholly focused on the spiritual and God. On top of that, Daphne has the "terrible twins" to look after. Mischief personified!! Daphne says she needs a pair of eyes in the back of her head to see what they will be up to next
The Reverend Jonathan has a long history with Feltbury Green. Living in Feltbury town as a youngster, his parents always attended St Cuthbert's Church for the Sunday service. They said the short journey was worth it as the church is so special. They encouraged Jonathan to join the choir, which helped cement his devotion to God.
Jonathan and Daphne met each other at a retreat in Yorkshire and were delighted to move to Feltbury Green when the parish position became available. They live in the Rectory right beside St Curthbert's, so there should be no excuse for being late for services, although Jonathan frequently is!
Mr & Mrs William Howard
Another villager who grew up in Feltbury, William moved to Feltbury Green when Castle View came up for sale. Working for Feltbury Bank he was able to secure a favourable mortgage to buy the house. William has now become the branch manager having started off as a humble cashier. He is very neat, orderly and precise, perfect for looking after other people's money
His wife Violet is such a gossip. She spends her day meeting other villagers and swapping the latest news and stories. She cannot be trusted to keep any secrets. She is perfect for William as she loves keeping a clean and tidy house. Castle View is pristine with beautiful boarders and manicured lawns
William and Violet are devoted to Feltbury Green and are always looking to maintain standards within the village. Williams pet hate is litter, so organises regular litter picking parties to ensure a neat and tidy Feltbury Green
Farmer Giles and Mrs Winnie Meadowcroft
The Meadowcroft family has been farming in Feltbury Green for as long as anybody can remember. Parish marriage and death records show the Meadowcroft name appearing as far back as the Middle Ages. Giles and Winnie expanded the acreage of Feltbury farm by buying their neighbours land when it was offered to them
With their son Adam and his wife Ava working Feltbury Farm alongside Giles and Winnie, the future looks assured for the next generation of Medowcrofts

The next two generations of the Meadowcroft family. Everyone plays an active part in helping around the farm, with some being a little more useful than others!
Adam fell for Ava when she came to work on the farm as a Land Girl during the war. Ava has her work cut out bringing up her four children, along with the miriade of other farm chores she has to get through. This leads her to be late on the odd occaision!
Col & Mrs Harry Wentworth
Commissioned before the First World War into the Royal Artillery, Col Wentworth saw action across all the major battles in France including the Somme and Passchendaele. He served with distinction and was awarded the MC for his gallantry defending his gun emplacement whilst under sustained attack by the Germans. During the Second World War he worked closely with Sir Winston Churchill, helping set up the Home Guard. Post war, he was asked to bring his vast experience and knowledge to bear when the Ministry of Defence was formed and created
Isobel was a driver for Winston Churchill during the war, so met Harry whilst driving him to a meeting at the Cabinet War Rooms. During the trip they discovered they both had a love for gardening. Isobel is however a close match to Violet Howard for village chit chat. When the pair meet up, nothing is off limits!
Having travelled the world, the Wentworths were both pleased to find a delightful thatched cottage in Feltbury Green in which to settle down. They bought Number 4 Castle Cottages with a garden sweeping down to the river. They spend hours in their garden and are keen competitors at the annual village fete, competing in the flower catagory and frequently beating their best friends but arch rivals the Howards to first prize!
The Christie Family
Feltbury Green has been the home of the Christie family for many generations. The Christies traditionally worked the land as labourers. That is how Alan and Gloria met. She came to Feltbury Green as a Land Girl during the second world war and fell for both Alan and the village
When old Mrs Christie, who ran the village shop, died, they took over the business. They have now taken on the post office which Alan runs whilst Gloria concentrates on the shop. The Christies are very hard working and the long opening hours make them popular with the villagers who regularly need to purchase a last minute item to help make dinner
Their family continues to grow with a little girl Marilyn joining her big brother George. Gloria is keen to have a large family which she calls her brood
